On November 16, 2017, the United States Conference of Mayors and the Partner America Program will bestow Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman of Las Vegas, Nevada the Small Business Advocate Award for her dedication to the small business community of her city.
Goodman became the first mayor in known history to succeed her husband, whom previously held office for twelve years. Holding a Master’s degree in Counseling, Goodman pushed for an improved school system by way of early learning programs for preschools, tutorials for ESL students and their parents and more. In addition to revitalizing the tax film credit in 2013, she seeks to better serve her community through volunteer work in leadership roles in community nonprofit boards.
In recognition of Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman’s focus to building Las Vegas through small business, the Partner America Small Business Advocate award will be presented to her on November 16, 2017, at Council Chambers, City Hall 495 South Main Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
