Today, September 21, 2017, the United States Conference of Mayors and the Partner America Program has bestowed Mayor Bill Carpenter of Brockton, Massachusetts the Small Business Advocate Award for his dedication to the small business community of his city.
Mayor Carpenter ran as an independent and took office in the city of Brockton in January 2014. The former City Health Inspector and ringside boxing announcer not only possesses the prowess to run a city but also supports local-owned businesses. When he’s not hosting a public access show where he interviews local community influencers, he’s supporting small businesses such as Apolo’s Furniture, Oviva Hair Design, Elvera’s Café, and Sunset Café, just to name a few.
In recognition of Mayor Bill Carpenter’s focus to building Brockton through small business, the Partner America Small Business Advocate award has been presented to him at Brockton City Hall Rotunda. View the ceremony photos below.
